VoulezVous is a 5* luxury hotel located in a prime position in Tignes le lac, just 50m from the ski slopes and 200m from the lifts. The hotel offers an authentic mountain experience with state-of-the-art facilities, delicious food, fine wines and panoramic views. The team will even organise your ski pass, and book your equipment and ski lessons before you arrive taking the hassle out of your winter holiday.
Inspired by the Grande Motte glacier the contemporary hotel looks as if it just effortlessly fits in with the snowy mountains. Its outer walls are white and its big glass windows and balconies take advantage of the slopes around it. This new addition to the Les Etincells collection only opened in 2021 but it has already become one of the best places to stay in Tignes.
Where is Tignes
Tignes is a high-altitude ski resort in the French Alps that proudly sports the “guaranteed snow” certification with the winter ski season being from November to May. The resort consists of the 5 following villages, Les Brevieres, Tignes 1800, Lavachet, Tignes le Lac and Val Claret. Tignes is located near the Italian border and it is part of the Espace Killy ski area, which is shared with the nearby resort Val d’Isère.
The ski area provides 300kms of piste for all levels of skiing from 1550m to 3456m in altitude thanks to the Grand Motte Glacier. You can even ski in summer on the glacier!! Chambery is the closest airport to Tignes which offers seasonal flights during the winter season. We stayed at the VoulezVous hotel at the end of last season (late May) for a long ski weekend. We had the most amazing terrace that overlooked the slopes and the Grande Motte glacier. It really made you feel like you were directly on the slopes and we enjoyed sitting outside with a drink taking it all in. Everyone was so nice and attentive to all our needs, they were so welcoming and made us want to come back again.

Ski hire in Tignes could not be any easier when staying at the hotel. Before leaving home you can book your ski equipment online and it will be ready upon arrival. The ski shop and rental are conveniently located just inside the lobby. Upstairs is a small shop that stocks a number of top brands like Volk, Fire and Ice, as well as Moonboots. Downstairs is ski hire, a spacious ski room where guests can store their equipment and get it dry and ready for the next day.
Don’t worry if your choice of equipment is not correct, the team will be happy to change it during your stay. The staff were very helpful, especially Francois who was able to advise us where best to ski in Tignes so we could get the most out of the trip. We appreciated it a lot as his local knowledge did make the skiing trip more enjoyable. Not sure what type of ski jacket to buy then check out this buyer’s guide on what is best for you.
The ski rental is open 7 days a week from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm.
Book your activities in Tignes in advance with the hotel
Being a high altitude ski resort Tignes has a wide range of winter activities that guests can do while they are on their ski holiday. Go dog sleigh, snowshoeing, or even karting on ice. For the more adventurous you have things like paragliding, ice floating or ice diving if you dare.
The reception booking team at the hotel can book these activities ahead of your ski trip to Tignes. All you have to do is turn up and enjoy your time in the mountains. If you are not skiing and want to enjoy the activities, ask the hotel about the pedestrian pass. Make sure to remember to take a good ski jacket and a good pair of gloves for outdoor activities.
Other hotels in Tignes le Lac by Les Etincelles
One of the best things about the Les Etincelles collection is the position of the hotels in Tignes. They are never too far from the ski lift and some are even ski-in, ski-out. Guests who are on half-board at a Les Etincelles hotel can also choose to dine at their other restaurants nearby. Meaning you can have a wider selection of dinner options during your winter holiday.
Here are some of the best hotels in Tignes that are by the Les Etincelles group that I recommend.
Levanna Hotel Tignes 4*
The Levanna is a beautiful and warm 4*hotel that is a part of the Les Etincelles collection. It is possibly in one of the best locations for accommodation in le Lac Tignes. Levanna is directly on the slopes and a stone’s throw away from the Tovières ski lift.
Les Terrasses at the Levanna Hotel is a pretty popular spot to enjoy the views out on the terrace when the sun is out. I had the steak tartare and my husband had a burger, both came with salad and chips both were delicious and wholesome. We washed down some local French wine and beer.
It was the ideal spot to stop for lunch while taking in the views of the lake and watching the skiers passing by. If you are staying at VoulezVous Hotel, Les Terrasses is one of the restaurants you can dine at as part of your half-board option.

Les Campanules Hotel 4*
Les Campanules is an exquisite and warm family run 4* hotel located in an exceptional position in Le Lac Tignes. The 4-storey hotel has incredible views of the lake and of the Grande Motte glacier from the terrace, the outdoor heated infinity pool and even some of the rooms. Some would say some of the best hotel views in Tignes. As soon as I walked into this hotel I felt completely at ease and relaxed.
Le Chalet, des Campanules
The hotel restaurant Le Chalet offers a tasteful gourmet menu that changes regularly to satisfy guests’ taste buds. We had a delicious dinner which was a set menu that included scrambled eggs with truffle and prawn risotto matched with local wine. Afterwards, I enjoyed an after-dinner drink chartreuse, a French digestif. Le Chalet des Campanules is only a 5 minutes walk from the VouleszVous and is an option for dinner as a part of your half board.

The Montana Village 4*
The Montana Village 4* ski-in & ski-out hotel is located in le Lac area of Tignes 2100. This pet-friendly hotel combines authentic alpine design with modern day amenities. Just like the Les Etincelles hotels that I have mentioned this too is in a perfect location. All you have to do is step out of the hotel and right onto the slopes. Afterwards, you can come back and enjoy the outdoor heated pool with a beautiful backdrop.

La Place, Montana Village
We stopped at La Place for lunch, one of 4 restaurants at Montana Village. This traditional restaurant serves a selection of pizzas, pastas, hamburgers, fondue and raclettes. It is located near the bottom of the slopes, making it an ideal spot for skiers and non-skiers to meet.
I had pizza topped with mushrooms and prosciutto and my husband had the steak fillet both were filling. It was just what we needed after a hard morning of skiing on the mountain.
