B&B Hotel Stuttgart-City

Clean and Practical hotel

I stayed in the B&B Hotel for a weekend to visit the Stuttgart Christmas Markets (review to come) and Hohenzollern Castle https://www.melbtravel.com/2016/05/hohenzollern-castle-germany/ . The room was basic and a bit on the small side (there were 3 of us sharing a triple room and there was not much space for our bags) but the room was reasonably priced and clean.

The only complaint I had was that the walls were thin and I could hear the people in the other rooms and could hear people walking up and down the corridor.

You can pay an additional fee for breakfast which I recommend as there were no cafe shops in   the area. The Hotel was basic but good for a stopover, we caught the train but I understand that they have a car park underneath if you decide to drive (however an additional charge may apply).

Getting there & Location

The hotel is just out of the city centre (don’t be fooled by the name) but is close to public transport. (I found it to be reliable and efficient) It is around a 5 minute walk to the train station and then 5 stops (10-15min journey) on the train to the centre of town.

Quick Tip:

The reception was not always open and on a Sunday there was nobody in reception from 12noon to 5pm, if you want to leave your luggage and pick it up during this period it is not possible. If you are travelling via train or plane, the main station has lockers and you can hire one for 3 euro’s (It is also where you catch the train to the airport).

Would I recommend it?

I am always under the impression that you get what you pay for and this hotel is exactly that for me. I wanted a clean, reliable budget hotel to sleep in and that is what I got. If you are expecting more than that or you are looking for a romantic weekend away, then I would suggest spending a bit more money and going elsewhere. However, if you want a no frills, value for money stop over then this is a good place to stay.

Price Range: – Budget Hotel

Wifi:- Free but drops in and out

Breakfast; – An additional fee applies
