  • Have you ever felt like Indiana Jones when exploring? I'm finally back on the road visiting the historical sites around Cyprus. I visited to the Tombs of the kings in Paphos this week & they were pretty amazing. They are underground tombs (empty now)that dated back to as early as the 300 BC & are cut into the native rock. They are spread along the coastline of the Mediterranean & have become one of my favourite archaeological sites. One of the locals was telling me he has some on his land underground. I have to admit l was knackered when l reached the top of the stairs on both pyramids but you have the most amazing views from the top.   • Do you ever stop for 5mins & appreciate life & the people around you? It has been 6 months since l was diagnosed with an incurable heart condition & my life was turned upside forever. This week l head back to hospital for my 3rd heart operation & hopefully my last. If l have learnt anything through all of this, it's not to take anything for granted.   • Who has ever been to Hadrian's Wall England before? Do you know that work by the Roman Emperor commenced on the wall as far back as AD 122 & it took a 15,000 men & 6 yes to build. It goes from nearly one side if England to the next & runs a total of 73 miles. You can hike the whole lot which would take around a week or do it in section.   • Can you see the glacier at the bottom of the Aiguille du Dru mountain? It is called the Mer de Glace which the general can walk underneath through those dark blue holes. You can get there via the Montenvers train station in Chamonix & which is amazing train ride. When arrive you will be able to see how over time the glacier has shrunk & unfortunately will disappear one day.
